Well things are getting down to the wire before Maverick makes his debut. I'm due May 15th but because I have gestational diabetes they don't want me to go past 39 weeks. The reason for this is because a side effect of gestational diabetes is that the babies are bigger and they obviously don't want him to get too big to where the possibility of a c-section is high as well as trauma to him let alone to me. So an induction is scheduled for May 8th. but because the hospital may be busy with deliveries who obviously take priority over my induction I pretty much go "on call" starting May 8th and they will call me to come in. I'm not sure what to think about that...I think the waiting may kill me lol but then I think about being so overdue with Rogue that it reminds me to be patient and that this won't be so bad. Obviously if I go into labor before then, there won't be an induction but so far I've had a few instances of braxton hicks' but nothing too substantial. I think I'm pretty well ready other than I still haven't packed my hospital bag...bad me I know. I'll probably force myself to do it today or tomorrow. I don't know why I keep procrastinating on that but oh well.
I do wonder how Rogue will react to having another baby around. she is so used to be the only "baby" and she is such a daddy's girl. I see possible jealousy issues when Jeremy's holding Maverick but we shall see and just deal. She doesn't comprehend that there is a baby inside mommy's tummy, just that she needs to be careful around mommy's tummy.
I wish to thank everyone who attended or sent things for the baby shower. I know that I have already sent thank you cards for most of you but I still want to say it again.
I can't believe it is already May, time flies and this month will be a busy one at that. Obviously I will be giving birth to our son, there is also Mother's day, my mom's birthday, multiple family members as well as friends of the families children's birthdays, My 30th birthday as well as our 3rd wedding anniversary. Let's just say this month will be the month of insanity I swear!!
Well I should probably get off the computer and get some laundry done and clean a bit more on the house so I'll have a nice clean house to come home to.
Take care everyone!

How time flies
Boy has time flown. I am now 34 weeks pregnant and realizing that very soon I will be meeting Maverick. I can say that I have officially kicked into the nesting mode, that is as much as my body is allowing me to. it likes to kick my butt sometime to remind me that I'm not superwoman. lol. I do have a couple of pregnancy bump photos that I should probably post. More will come when I get our family pictures from the photographer, the fabulous Diana Prince on friday.
Here is me on Valentines day:
and here I am again a couple weeks ago from one of the preview family pictures
Needless to say I am into full waddling mode. lol.
I did get diagnosed with borderline gestational diabetes, basically there are two or three factors you can fail to be fully diagnosed with it and I failed one but because my fasting bloodsugar was the fail (too high) they want to treat me like I fully have it. SO I have to poke my finger up to 4 times a day and watch my diet like a hawk. quite annoying but oh well, I want to keep Maverick and myself healthy so I have to do what I have to do. We had an ultrasound on March 23rd because I have lost a fair amount of weight since I got pregnant (obviously not on my stomach but in other places lol) and they wanted to make sure he was developing all right. He was doing fantastic weighing 4 pounds 6 ounces. I have a doctor's appointment this friday and then another in two weeks which an ultrasound is attatched to so we shall see how big he is growing at that point.
Today I am supposed to get my co-sleeper in the mail, I can wait and hopefully it will work with how our room is situated. I have a pack in play with a bassinet feature but it would be too big and take up too much space in our room so I got this as a better option. The reason for getting this instead of a regular bassinett was because if I end up having to have a c section due to him being too big because of the gestational diabetes than I wouldn't have to pick him up at night to breast feed but rather scoot him over. what can I say, I like to be prepared...sometimes too prepared as Jeremy likes to tell me. lol.
Rogue is getting bigger and bigger. the crazy toots is now into 5T- XS in girls. I just had to replenish her wardrobe. I hope she didn't get all the height and that maverick won't be short. lol. She is learning her ABC's and other words. it is amazing how her vocabulary is getting longer and longer so quickly. Potty training is going slowly. mostly because we aren't pushing it. Neither of us wanted to get her fully potty trained, have the baby come and then her revert back and have to start over. so we are waiting to really get into it after Maverick comes and things calm down. Right now I just put her potty seat on the toilet before her showers (yeah, no more baths...she loves just taking showers now) and leave it there until after she is dressed. and typically she goes pee before hand and sometimes gets out of the shower to go again and then get back in.
Got a rocking chair, it is actually a recliner that rocks but still love it!!! Got it from our friends Jim and Angie. I will definetely love it on those late nights with Maverick. it is very comfortable!!
We also got a swing set for Rogue. it has a slide on it too which is her favorite. She LOVES going outside to play. Right now due to the weather it is touch and go when we can go out to play but I can't wait till this summer when she can go out a lot more.
Well, I should probably go, some organizing is calling my name!

What's in a name?
So I said in my last blog I would announce the name we picked for our son soon so I figure it is about time I do so. After a lot of thought and consideration we decided to name him Maverick Cannon Wilkins. The meaning of his first name goes with Rogue's.
Let me explain:
Rogue- a playfully mischievous person; varying markedly from the normal.
Maverick- an intellectual, an artist, or a politician, who takes an independent stand apart from his or her associates.
Our nickname for the two of them is going to be double trouble : ) Yes I know we are setting ourselves up for trouble but what can I say, I guess we are glutton for punishment.
As for the middle name of cannon, yes we are naming him after the weapon. my hubby came up with it somehow and it just seems to work really well with his first name.
So with great anticipation and joy I will be ecstatic to meet my lil man Maverick sometime in May.

Rogue's 2nd birthday
First I would like to say that I unfortunately do not have any pictures of the little birthday girl on her special day nor of her birthday get together because until just the other day...our lovely camera was on the fritz and so I couldn't take any pictures...bummer. But I can tell you about it.
Her birthday was the 11th and since it was in the middle of the week we didn't do much to celebrate it other than I made her a brownie which she had with a little bit of ice cream and she got to open up her present from her Aunt Christina and family which was a cute little purse with a cell phone, mirror, wallet and debit card. She LOVED it. Ran around the house talking on her phone and stuffing everything she could find into her purse... it was pretty cute. On Saturday we had my parents, Aunt dawn, Cousin Justin, friend of the family Kaleb and Friends Jim and Angie over for dinner and cupcakes to really celebrate her birthday. It was a lot of fun, we had BBQ chicken, baked beans, fruit salad and of course chocolate cupcakes. she got to open her presents. she got the dvd's dumbo and bambi from Jim and Angie and a cooking set from my parents which went with our gift to her which was a toy BBQ. She loved them all. The funniest part of the party was when we gave her a cupcake with a 2 candle on it that was lit (for the record I was holding it and just held it in front of her). she started making noise like singing so we started singing happy birthday to her. she started laughing and then would run into the kitchen giggling and being shy. she would then come out and we start singing again and she would run back in. we taught her how to blow out the candle which was really cute and the poor thing didn't have enough umph to her blowing that she couldn't blow out the candle. Jeremy quietly blew it out for her the next time she tried. It was tooo cute.
It wasn't until the next day that we actually got the camera to start working again, which is funny because we also fixed a drill of jeremy's that we had sitting on the table. Rogue found it that night and started to play with it. so Jeremy took the bit out so she couldn't drill holes into anything but taught her how to push the button to make it go...needless to say, she thinks it is the coolest thing ever and because the camera was fixed...Jeremy was actually able to get pictures of it!!!

What a silly, sweet 2 year old girl!!
Correction to title, misleading aka NOT having twins!!! Is it a boy or a girl?
Right before Christmas was my 20 week ultrasound which would not only check to make sure all is going well with OB1 as we have nicknamed the baby but to also see if we were going to be having a girl OB1 or boy OB1.
I will have to say the first time with Rogue, They only ultrasounded me for a half an hour the got some pics, saw she was a girl and there ya go you are done. Plus the picture quality of those ultrasound pics were not that great with Rogue either. This time however they took about an hour got LOADS of different measurements as well as got the 3d ultrasound done as well. we only got one decent 3d pic because this little one is quite a mover and shaker but with the quality of the regular ultrasound pictures we were perfectly happy if we had just gotten those.
So onto the sex, well as you may be able to read from the first ultrasound picture we are having a BOY. Rogue with have a little brother to terrorize and then to be terrorized by!

I threw in the other ultrasound pictures we got just because they were cool and so clear.
Of course everyone has been asking what his name is going to be, well we have just recently decided and once we have told our parents I will be happily announcing it.
Updates
Well since the last time I posted we just moved and announced that we were expecting I figured I had better do another and get myself caught up.
Pregnancy: My morning sickness wasn't all that wonderful, I wasn't near the toilet as often as I was the first time with Rogue but it did feel worse, I think it was more due to the fact I couldn't just lay around and wish I were dead instead I had to entertain a toddler whom loves to play. Luckily it has now been gone for about a month now and I am starting to feel a little more energetic ( I can actually keep the house clean). Right before Christmas we did find out the sex and I will go into that more in the next post.
Halloween: Last year we were out hunting and didn't celebrate it, this year we were in town but didn't take Rogue out trick or treating. Jeremy and I felt that she was a little young and the last thing we wanted was to take her out and someone in a scary outfit opening up the door to scare the living day lights out of her. so instead she helped mommy hand out candy. She got to hear all the kids say trick or treat and Thank you. by the end of the night she was saying "thank you" all the time and became her new favorite word the lasted a couple weeks. I didn't mind one bit. she dressed up for a little while as Dorthy from the wizard of oz but before I could get any pictures she spilled juice (grape juice actually) all over it. we did go to Klickers pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins where she slid down their enormous slide once then made daddy follow her as she climbed all over the straw pyramid that held the slide.
A couple days later we carved our pumpkins and then waited till it was dark and went out to take pictures of our handy work. Rogue was having a blast running up and down the stairs as we were doing this and one of the coolest pictures makes it look like there is a ghost on the stairs. we dubbed the picture "ghost Rogue"
Thanksgiving: We had it at our house this year. Jeremy's parents were out hunting over this way so they came over the day of Thanksgiving along with my parents, my Aunt Dawn, Cousin Justing and friend of the family Kaleb even one of our friend's Jim showed up for a little while. I "slaved" away and made turkey, smoked prime rib, and made some of the fixins while a some brought their favorite sides too. It was fantastic and we all had a blast. After Thanksgiving Jeremy and my parents stayed for a little bit. The In-Laws got a new puppy while here, she is an adorable lab/Aussie shepard mix. This is what she looked like when they got her. Now she is quite a bit bigger and full of spunk. But a very smart and loveable puppy.

Christmas: For Christmas we all loaded up and headed down to Salem. and by we I mean Jeremy, Rogue and I plus my parents. We stayed over a Carmen and Gary's house (jeremy's sister) and had a fabulous time, We ate lots, talked lots and of course had a great Christmas. Rogue made out like a bandit of course and had a blast with her cousins Calista and Cassidy playing with all their new toys. It was quite fun watching the girls interact and play together. The older they are getting the more interactive they are becoming. We also celebrated LaVeta's (my mother in law) 60th birthday.
NewYears: We turned around after being home from salem for a few days and headed back down there because my father in law Darrell was also turning 60 this weekend and this was when we were really celebrating the parent's birthdays. we had BBQ ribs, homeade baked beans and chocolate cake as we watched the Oregon duck game as well as the stanford game. It was relaxing and a lot of fun.
Well I think I caught up except for announcing the baby's sex as well as Rogue's 2nd birthday which I will do in the next couple of posts.

Another move and a big announcement
Sorry I haven't been keeping up very well with blogging I'm horrible at it really but at least I'm trying. Anyways, recently we moved. we moved out of our apartment in Kennewick to a duplex in richland which is really nice. Has a big back yard which Rogue LOVES!! and lots more room. granted the kitchen is smaller but I'll still take it over where we were living prior. It is also a lot closer to Jeremy's work which a big plus. We are also a couple blocks away from the columbia river and where there is a walking trail that runs along it. as well as a couple blocks away from an elementary school that has some nice toys for Rogue to have fun with.
The other news is that we are expecting again, Rogue will have another sibling around may 15th. During our move I had our first doctors appointment and of course got an ultrasound. we are nicknaming this child OB1, there is a funny story to that, obviously it has a star wars theme to it but I have twins that run in my family so there was some concern about whether this child could be 1 or 2 so it was thus nicknamed OB1 as is "Oh Be 1, please just be 1!"

and yes we are only having one. As of right now I am 13 weeks pregnant, these were taken at 9 weeks (sorry so late, bad me!)
I still have morning sickness that is of course happens anytime and not just the morning. Zofran and I are best buds *rolls eyes*
But anyways, all seems to be going well. Rogue is getting bigger and more like a little person instead of a little baby she once was *sniff* she is saying more and more words each day. Sometimes you have to really listen cause of the baby slur as I like to call it. She loves to mimic both words and actions, just wants to be a big girl!!! it is adorable I must say. She is now in a big girl bed since she could climb out of her crib- I knew it was going to happen soon luckily she never hurt herself. She seems to like it well though we are having fun trying to keep her in bed at times but of course that it normal.
On another note, for some reason I can't seem to figure out how to comment on other people's blogs via blog spot, if you are on facebook I can but I can't seem to do it directly not sure why but I'm not ignoring your comments...I just can't post back!!
Take care, I will post more soon especially about halloween and the activities leading towards it but I need to find the plug for my camera to the computer...aparantly I still haven't unpacked that.
Take care!
